Yes
we will give a 90 day manufacturer's warranty on the Control Unit and the air horn. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects. Additionally, we offer an extended warranty that will cover normal wear and tear for up to 2 years. How long does it take before the Banshee Horn system kicks in?
¼ of a second or ½ of a second
When you press the horn switch briefly, the regular horn works as usual. When you press and hold the horn switch for ¼ second or more, then the Banshee Horn system kicks in and continues for as long as you hold the horn switch. On the control unit there is a small switch that allows you to make the delay longer if you wish – then it takes ½ second for the Banshee Horn to kick in.What's the difference between the control units?
There are 3 types of control unit
Version 1 (Car Model)

This Control unit can be identified as have no mounting lugs and 5 wires as shown below. It is our original control unit and is still produced for use with cars (Motorcycles now use Version 2 or 3.0).
Version 1.5 (Harley Special)

This Control looks the same as the Version 1 unit and can be identified as have no mounting lugs and 5 wires as shown below. Additionally the V1.5 has a Harley Davison logo on the bottom of the control unit. This control unit is specifically designed to work exclusivley on all Harley bikes (Other motorcycles should use Version 2 or 3.0).
Version 2

This model can be identified by having a custom casing with 2 mounting lugs and 6 wires (2 blue wires). It was produced from March 2012 to May 2013 and fits all motorcycles and cars.
Version 3.0

This model can be identified by having a custom casing with 2 mounting lugs and 5 wires (1 blue wire instead of 2 as on the Version 2 unit). It is the current model and production of this started May 2013. It fits all motorcycles and cars. Will you ship the Banshee Horn internationally?
Yes
Our website give you a number of different shipping methods to choose from. Can the Banshee Horn damage my Motorcycle or Car wiring?
No
The Banshee Horn System takes its power directly from the battery, that way the wiring in your motorcycle or car is not doing any extra work at all. This solves the issues some people have experienced when replacing horns on motorcycles and cars using other products in the past. Can I damage the Banshee Horn system if I mess up the installation?
No
We designed the control unit to have protection if it is hooked up wrongly, but it's really hard to hook it up wrongly because it's so simple! Just a few wires to connect, then mount the new horn and you're all go.-

No
It's similar to a Stebel Nautilus but not the same. We noticed that the Stebel seems to have a fairly bad reputation for reliability according to online reviews – specifically they say that the plastic trumpet comes loose from the steel compressor motor and the horn ceases to function. We have sourced another brand that has the same small profile but has a different method of combining the trumpet to the compressor, so avoids this design flaw. We have not had even one horn back with this problem so we know that we have a very solid and reliable design.
Some of our systems have a Wolo brand horn supplied; these are also a superior design that does not have any reliability issues. My bike has a HID headlight; will the Banshee Horn still work with it?
Yes
HID lights take a few seconds to warm up so they can't be flashed rapidly like a normal bulb. The way manufacturers get around this is to have just one HID bulb and use a small solenoid to alter the angle of the beam from Low to High. For these systems the light can instantly change from low to hi without the HID system having to "warm up" as the Low beam is already on at all times. The Screaming Banshee system (yellow wire) simply connects to the High beam solenoid and then will work perfectly.
Some vehicles have a HID for the Low beam and a conventional Quartz bulb for the High beam. In this case the Screaming Banshee system connects to the High beam wire as usual.
Another option is to flash a small separate "strobe" type light instead of the High beam – but that may not be legal in some States. Always check with local traffic regulations in your area.
Alternatively, if desired, the Screaming Banshee system can just operate the Banshee horn and not the High beam at all. Will it work on all Motorcycles?
Yes
As long as your motorcycle has a horn system it will work! The motorcycle will need a normal 12 volt electrical system but all road bikes have this.-
Yes
The Banshee Horn system can be fitted to all cars. Will it work on Motorcycles and Cars with CANBUS systems?
Yes
Our system has zero issues with CANBUS or any electrical system for that matter. Regarding bikes and cars with CANBUS and sensitive electronics, our systems have been designed to not draw or back feed electricity into the vehicle horn electrics at all. Also, we have the included protection for the Banshee Horn control circuit to guard it against spikes from the air horn compressor. The control circuit draws its power directly from the battery which is about 20 amps when the air horn is on. Because it's directly from the battery, it places no loads on the vehicle wiring and will not ever trigger an error / fault code. There are other systems like the starter motor that draw much more current (200+ amps), and these don't trigger fault codes. Will the Banshee Horn System have any effect on my electrical system?
No
We have installed our systems on all kinds of late model bikes and cars, including Smart Cars and even new Can Am's, and have also just finished filming an installation video on a brand new BMW F800 GS. The Control System adds a minute amount of load (0.005 of an amp, also known as 5 milli-amps) to the horn system that draws about 3-5 amps so this is insignificant and cannot damage any vehicle wiring system - we have never experienced a problem. Our air horn does however draw (in short bursts) 20 amps but that power is taken directly from the battery, completely bypassing the vehicles electrical system. If I don't want to fit the Banshee Horn myself, how much would it cost for a shop to fit?
It depends on the shop
We supply all the parts you will need so if you want to get a shop to fit the Banshee Horn it will just be their labor charge. For most bikes the installation takes 1 – 1 ½ hours. For cars it's under an hour. So the final cost will depend on your shops hourly rate.-
The super loud air horn we supply is rated at over 120+ dB! (measured at 1 foot)
You can hear it 3 blocks away! Remember the Banshee Horn system also pulses the High Beam lights so you will get the attention of even the extremely hard of hearing. Does the Banshee Horn and Headlight have to pulse?
No
If you prefer to have the Banshee Horn and High Beam come on solid (not pulsing), there is a small switch to select this option. However, the whole idea of pulsing the loud horn and the High Beam is to get the maximum attention in a potentially dangerous situation, so we recommend the pulsing option.I have a sport bike with not much room; can I still fit the system?
Yes
The control unit is about the size of a matchbox, so fitting that is never an issue. The horn is about the size of your fist – on almost all bikes there is space inside of the fairings or under the seat to mount the horn. On cruisers and Harleys, we can supply a chrome horn so you don't need to hide it. We also have the Split Screamer™ that allows you to mount the Compressor and Horn in different places for more installation options. We also have our new Plug & Play™ model that is very compact and easy to fit.
Also please look at our Image Gallery to see systems installed on dozens of different bikes. In the rare event where it seems that one of our systems won't fit your type of bike, we are here to help. Please let us know and we will try to come up with an easy solution. Will the Banshee Horn system drain my battery if the bike is in storage?
No
We designed the Banshee Horn system to have no power drain at all while the bike is sitting. So, the Banshee Horn system will definitely not draw any power from your battery at all while the bike is garaged. We designed it this way for that very reason.
Actually even when you are riding the bike the control unit draws no electricity until the horn button is pressed, then it sends power from the battery directly to the Banshee Horn and the headlight high beam.I have already swapped my stock horn for a Stebel, can I still use the Banshee Horn system?
Yes
You can use the control unit with another company's "loud" horn. This way it will pulse the horn and flash the high beam light, BUT there will be a 1/4 second delay before this occurs so this is something to think about (The 1/4 second period is when the stock horn would be sounding if you still had it on your bike).
Or, you could just get the control unit and buy a stock type horn, and then you will have both soft and loud options as shown in the video. It the system legal to use everywhere?
Obviously we don't (and can't) know the regulations everywhere relating to horn use. Buyers do need to check that the Banshee Horn system is legal in the country and area that they live in. But the whole point of our system is to provide a loud horn ONLY when it is really needed, and not to promote the excessive use of a very loud horn!
